Demistify economic problems with new methods and alternative data. More precision, detailed insights.

We create new economic datasets and provide bespoke economic advice. Our team of economists have conducted doctoral research using satellite imagery, machine learning, and alternative datasets.

We work alongside businesses, research institutes, governments and NGOs

Monthly sub-national GDP data

We’re creating the world’s first monthly sub-national GDP dataset:

We use alternative datasources such as high-resolution satellite imagery and machine learning to create monthly GDP data in Europe at the NUTS1, NUTS2 and NUTS3 level.

We conduct economic analyses to provide you with actionable insights on policies, proposals and projects

Our team has previously created computable general equilibrium models, macroeconomic forecasts (at the national and sub-national level), and conducted policy evaluations for NGOs, such as the Institute for State Effectiveness, research institutions like the London School of Economics, and government agencies such as the Afghan Ministry of Finance.

About us

We’re a team of economists and data scientists based at the London School of Economics. Our team has conducted doctoral studies in macreconomics, spatial economics, econometrics, geographical information systems and economic policy.

We’re supported by the European Space Agency BIC UK. Our work leverages cutting edge technology such as OpenAI’s GPT-3, and high resolution satellite imagery.
